To help residents of Killay we have made a list of the right places to go for issues likely to be of concern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The City Councillors are Mary Jones<\/a>, Jeff Jones<\/a>, and Louise Gibbard<\/a> (follow the links for their profile on the City and County of Swansea website)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They are the point of contact for many issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are also many useful links directly on the city council’s website<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Licensing of premises is a Swansea City Council and Police Matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here are some of the things that Killay Community Council are responsible for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flowers:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Planting in green areas in Killay, including The Precinct and the grass bank outside St Hilary’s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arranging events:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Easter, Afternoons teas, Summer Events at the library<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Band Night at the Village Inn on August Bank Holidays<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Halloween and Christmas events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reviewing and commenting on planning application to City Planners.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Walking and reporting problems with footpaths.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Focus point:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For sharing community information e.g posters in the Rotunda in the Precinct, and on social media<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Schools<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Attendance in Governor meetings in both Hendrefoilan and Dunvant Primary schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Funding:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
